Brian Corbett's route on Course 9, M21E
Venue | The event will take place on Carnawaddy Mountain near Ravensdale, Co. Louth on Sunday 17th April 2005. Assembly | The event assembly area will be in the football grounds near the Lumpers Public House in Ravensdale, Co. Louth (Grid Ref J100 108). Please approach the area from the N1/Carlingford Road roundabout, just north of Dundalk. The event will be signed from this point. If you are bringing a coach or a minibus please ring Tommy Burke on 046 9074711 to check entry route. Food is not available at the Lumpers, so you should bring your own food for refreshment. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Terrain | The event area consists of rough open mountainside. It is similar to nearby Carlingford, although not as steep, nor is the summit as high as Slieve Foye. As we know from experience at Carlingford, weather conditions can be severe, so cagoules and whistles may be required. |

Map Notes |
On some of the lower slopes, such as on the east side near the Windy Gap, the survey has not been
completed. This area is not used for this competition. The competition area has been surveyed. Most crags are tagged crags. Untagged or line crags are used for clarity in places, particularly for facing crags. They are mostly in just one section of the main mountain. Whether a crag is tagged or not is not an indication of the size of the crag. Apart from indicated paths there are other sheep trails and off-road vehicle tracks not mapped. With recent spring growth these are mostly indistinct. |
